We had heard first-year head coach Darvin Ham was going to take Alan Anderson with the second overall pick in the draft, and sure enough, there he went. Anderson, a 6-6 guard that has spent time with the Bobcats and overseas for about every nation in the EU and a few beyond, will former a central part of the Thunderbirds with their new move from Albuquerque. The Thunderbirds have one of the shakiest situations in the league and with a new move and only three returning players, will probably find this season to be another tough one. Getting Anderson out of Michigan State who averaged 15.8 points on 55 percent shooting for Tulsa in 26 games back in 06-07 will likely help things.
