Terry Bradshaw Ready to Hand Trophy to Former Team

FOX, this year's Super Bowl telecaster, has assigned pre-game show co-host Terry Bradshaw as the man to stand with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell as the Vince Lombardi Trophy is presented to next Sunday's winner.

It's a role that Bradshaw has filled before, but this year's presentation may have special significance since one of the teams in the game, the Pittsburgh Steelers, is the franchise Bradshaw quarterbacked to four league titles in the 1970's.

The Hall of Fame passer remembers when former Steelers owner Art Rooney accepted the Lombardi Trophy for the team's win in Super Bowl IX in a dressing room. Now, there's a decent chance that Bradshaw could present the same hardware to Rooney's son, Dan.

"I've already thought about what it would be like for me to stand in the middle of (Cowboys) Stadium and present the Lombardi (Trophy) to Dan Rooney," said Bradshaw during a conference call Thursday to promote the pre-game show coverage. "I've already thought about that and how cool that would be since I was a part of the first (Steelers Super Bowl) team. It's a little bit different."
