Mattias Tedenby Skates Circles Around Islanders Defense (Video)

This goal scored by Mattias Tedenby during the Devils 5-2 win on Monday afternoon isn't the best play you'll see this season, and it doesn't really involve the flashiest set of moves. But it's still an excellent individual effort from the young forward as he displays an impressive amount of patience, puck control and even some strength as he sheds defenders, maintains the puck, and dangles his way through the Islanders defense to give his team 3-0 lead early in the second period.

It was Tedenby's first action for the Devils in over two weeks (his last game was on Jan. 1), and while he only logged a little over 12 minutes of ice-time in the win, he finished the game with a goal (his fifth of the season) an assist and a plus-two rating. The goal was his first since Dec. 17, as he helped New Jersey win for the third time in its past four games. The only loss over that stretch was a shootout loss to the Florida Panthers on Saturday, so the Devils have at least recorded a point in four straight games, their longest such streak of the season.
