BCS Title Game: Oregon vs. Auburn

For the past six weeks, Auburn and Oregon have been on a collision course.

Unbeaten, and mostly unchallenged, the two heavyweights will finally get a chance to determine which is the better team.

That will happen on Jan. 10 in the BCS title game in Glendale, Ariz., between the No. 1 ranked Tigers and No. 2 Oregon. While Auburn and Oregon topped the BCS rankings to secure a berth in the BCS title game, TCU finished third, Stanford fourth and Wisconsin fifth.

The rest of the BCS' final top 10 rankings: No. 6 Ohio State, No. 7 Oklahoma, No. 8 Arkansas, No. 9 Michigan State and No. 10 LSU.

The BCS title game matchup will be the first meeting between Auburn and Oregon. The Tigers (13-0) won the SEC title over South Carolina in the SEC Championship Game, while the Ducks (12-0) won the Pac-10 title outright by winning at Oregon State.

Auburn and Oregon were two of the nation's three unbeaten teams. The other was TCU.

The Horned Frogs (12-0) by virtue of their third-place ranking, and Stanford, with a No. 4 ranking, were guaranteed BCS bowl berths.
