Donovan McNabb Finally Gets 1st Crack at Giants With the Redskins

Donovan McNabb faced the New York Giants 18 times (including twice in the playoffs) during his 10-plus years as the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles. McNabb won 11 of those 18 games (10 of 16 in the regular season), a pretty fine record against a Giants team which won two NFC titles and made the playoffs.

Sunday, the 34-year-old McNabb meets the Giants for the first time as the quarterback of the Redskins.

"I don't think I've ever played a team this late in the season for the first time and then having to play them at the end of the year, (too)," McNabb said. "There's been some strong battles. When you play the Giants you know you'll get their best. That's the way I've always seen it, playing against (New York defensive ends) Osi (Umenyiora) and (Justin) Tuck and a lot of those guys I've seen over the years.

"I've played 'em for 11 years. They've had some success with getting to the quarterback. Sometimes we've had great games against them. We have to be able to quick-strike them a little bit. You've kinda got to be able to keep 'em on their heels, run the ball and set up some screens to kinda counteract what they do with their defensive ends and linebackers.
