Kevin Harvick Holds On for Richmond Nationwide Win

Filed under: Kevin Harvick, NASCARRICHMOND, Va. -- Kevin Harvick dominated the Nationwide race Friday night at Richmond International Raceway, but when it came to the last two laps, he found traffic -- and Brad Keselowski found him.

Harvick held on for the victory, but both he and Keselowski slipped and slid through the final two circuits as the leader desperately tried to hold the point and the challenger just as desperately tried to make a race-winning pass.

"I caught lapped traffic in the wrong spot for me and the right spot for him," Harvick said. "I didn't have anywhere to go. I had to slow down and Brad caught me. It was an exciting last couple of laps -- more than I wanted it to be."

"I could see the fans up in the grandstand jumping -- that even got me excited a little bit," Keselowski said. "Kevin was so fast on the long runs, so I knew I had to pace my car if I was going to have any shot at Kevin. That traffic kind of changed things up and gave us a shot.
