Dwayne Jarrett Arrested for DUI, Released by Panthers

Dwayne Jarrett has never really lived up to the hopes Carolina had for him when they took him in the second round of the 2007 draft. And things just got a lot dicier for the receiver, on the field and off -- Jarrett was arrested on Monday night and charged with driving under the influence, then released by the Panthers on Tuesday.

The DUI arrest was the second of Jarrett's NFL career -- he was also arrested in 2008 and eventually pled guilty.

When your number of DUI arrests exceeds your number of career touchdowns, you're looking like a draft bust. Jarrett has two catches for 40 yards this year as a backup wide receiver. The former Southern California star has only started three games during his four-year NFL career. His best season came last year, when he snagged 17 passes for 192 yards.
