C.J. Wilson Aside, Rangers Awesomely Awful in Game 2 Disaster

Derek HollandSAN FRANCISCO -- C.J. Wilson deserves better than to be lumped with the rest of the pitchers wearing Texas uniforms the first two games of the World Series.

Plagued by a blister, Wilson was forced out of Thursday's Game 2 down 1-0 in the seventh inning as the Rangers attempted to bounce back after Wednesday's 11-7 loss to the Giants in the opener.

To that point Wilson had pitched superlative baseball, battling San Francisco's Matt Cain pitch for pitch, save for an Edgar Renteria homer that went out down the left-field line in the fifth inning.

Then entered the Texas bullpen, and it was like the opening day of clown school, minus the floppy shoes.
