DAVIE, Fla. -- Miami Dolphins Pro Bowl left tackle Jake Long stretched with the team before this morning's practice but had a ballcap on his head instead of a helmet and then headed over to the stationary bike after the rest of his teammates broke off into individual drills.Long, who was not even at practice last Wednesday and Thursday heading into the bye week, has been playing with a nagging injury to his left knee since the last preseason game at Dallas.
Since teams don't have to put out injury reports until Wednesday for Sunday's games there was no official word on Long's condition all of last week and today. Lydon Murtha continued to take the reps at left tackle in Long's absence.
There were two positive signs for the Dolphins as rookie right guard John Jerry appeared to be practicing without any limitations after missing the last two games, and rookie defensive end Jared Odrick was able to do some limited work for the first time since breaking his right fibula in the season-opener at Buffalo.
